I recently purchased an iPod Touch at the request of my 7-year-old boy.  He is verbally challenged and finds it difficult to cope when he cannot communicate his needs.  One of his strengths is technology, particularly computers. This amazing little electronic devise has opened his communication skills, allowing him to ask for things that really excite and motivate him.  There are many "apps" you can purchase that are both educational and engaging.  His favorite one is I Spy, but there are many to choose from, and they are very reasonably priced.

Utility Aprons Made With Eco Friendly Hemp and Cotton

I have finally found the perfect fabric to use as a backing for my utility aprons. This hemp/cotton blend fabric shrinks very little if washed in cold water, and has a linen-like texture without the tendency to wrinkle. It is very durable and comes in a wide variety of colors.  My customers love it, and I love to sew with it! Happy creating!!!

Yarn Time!

Ok, so I just finished reorganizing my home studio, and found all of my lucious yarns!  Although it is summer here in Southern Cal., the weather has me feeling like it's January! Not cold, just gray and dreary.  This type of weather drives me straight to my crochet patterns, hook, and yarn.  Today, I am making a cute beanie hat for my 9-year-old fashionista daughter using Patons Grace yarn. It is a fine, cotton yarn with a slight sheen. Very beautiful and easy to work with. This FREE pattern can be found at: http://www.favecrafts.com/Crochet-for-Kids/Vintage-Rose-Crochet-Hat
